We are currently seeking a motivated and eager Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice to join our team and support our operations.

Job Summary:
The Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice will assist in the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy-duty equipment and machinery used in the oilfield industry. This role involves learning from experienced mechanics, performing routine maintenance tasks, and developing the skills necessary to become a certified heavy duty mechanic. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy-duty equipment and machinery.
  • Perform routine service tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, and tire checks.
  • Assist with diagnosing mechanical issues and performing necessary repairs.
  • Learn to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist with the documentation of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical skills.
  • Work under the supervision of certified mechanics and take direction effectively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Enrollment in or completion of a heavy duty mechanic apprenticeship program.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme weather and remote locations.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
