Job Summary:
You are responsible for operating and maintaining the trucks and other equipment to safely and efficiently remove, transport, and dispose of various materials. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and environmental regulations, as well as the ability to work in diverse and challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate vacuum trucks and other related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Safely load and unload materials, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed.
  • Complete all required documentation, including work orders, logs, and inspection reports.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as spills or hazardous material incidents, in accordance with company procedures.
  • Participate in training and development programs to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience operating vacuum trucks or similar equipment, however are willing to train the correct individual.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to the operation of vacuum trucks.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme weather and remote locations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required.
