Job Summary:
A swamper is responsible for assisting with the safe and efficient operation of oilfield equipment and machinery. This role involves a variety of manual labor tasks, including loading and unloading equipment, rigging up and down, and maintaining a clean and organized work site. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety and the ability to work in diverse and challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist operators with the safe and efficient operation of oilfield equipment.
  • Load and unload equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Rig up and rig down equipment as required for various oilfield operations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas.
  • Assist with the setup and teardown of job sites.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in the oilfield industry is an asset but not required.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme weather and remote locations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required.
