We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Oilfield Emergency Medical Responder to join our team and ensure the health and safety of our workforce.

Job Summary:
The Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) is responsible for providing immediate medical care and emergency response services in the oilfield environment. This role involves assessing medical situations, administering first aid, stabilizing patients, and coordinating with other medical professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong medical knowledge, excellent decision-making skills, and the ability to work in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond quickly to emergency medical situations and provide on-site care to injured or ill workers.
  • Assess the severity of injuries or illnesses and administer appropriate medical treatments.
  • Stabilize and prepare patients for transport to medical facilities if necessary.
  • Maintain and operate emergency medical equipment and supplies.
  • Document medical incidents, treatments provided, and patient outcomes accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with on-site personnel, supervisors, and external medical professionals.
  • Conduct regular health and safety inspections and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Participate in safety meetings, drills, and training sessions.
  • Educate workers on health and safety practices, including first aid and emergency response procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to health and safety.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Some experience as an EMR, preferably in an industrial or oilfield setting.
  • Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and best practices.
  • Ability to remain calm and act quickly in high-stress situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme weather and remote locations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required.
